Alpaca Open 2023 Turnier-Bericht

Das Alpaca Open 2023 powered by Prodigy Disc war ein großer Erfolg, an dem 90 erfahrene Spieler aus 10 verschiedenen Ländern teilnahmen. Das Turnier fand in Stiwoll in der Steiermark statt und das ganze Wochenende war sehr günstiges Discgolf-Wetter. Das Gold-Layout – mit einem vorläufigen PAR-Rating von 982 – stellte als härtester Parcours Österreichs das Können aller Spieler auf die Probe.

Die MPO-Division wurde von Robin Binder gewonnen, der das Turnier mit einer Gesamtpunktzahl von 11 unter PAR beendete. Stanislaus „the man“ Amann beendete die letzte Runde mit einem neuen Parcours-Rekord von -8 (PDGA-Rating 1045) und landete damit nur einen Wurf hinter Binder. Florian Lingenhel belegte mit einer Punktzahl von -7 den dritten Platz.

Die FPO-Division wurde von Eliška Bártková gewonnen, die nach einer 924 PDGA-bewerteten ersten Runde einen Start-Ziel-Sieg mit +34 feierte. Laura Posch belegte mit nur vier Würfen Rückstand auf Bártková den zweiten Platz und Andreja Bernjak erreichte mit einem Score von 46 über PAR den dritten Platz.

In der MP40-Division siegte Stefan Sonnleitner nach drei sehr konstanten Runden mit einer Ergebnis von 2 über PAR. Otfried Derschmidt belegte mit +10 den zweiten Platz und Roland Wieland wurde mit nur fünf Würfen Rückstand auf Derschmidt Dritter.

Während des Turniers wurde kein Ace geworfen, und daher ist der Ace Pot für Alpaca Open 2024 bereits auf 282 EUR angewachsen. Außerdem wurde im dritten Jahr in Folge kein Eagle auf einer Score Card vermerkt und damit wartet die Eagle-Hunt Challenge noch mindestens ein weiteres Jahr auf ihren Bezwinger. Die von discgolf4you.com gesponserte Birdie-Challenge – für in allen drei Runden am meisten unterschiedlichen Bahn mit einem Score von -1 – wurde in der MPO-Division von Stanislaus Amann mit unglaublichen 14 von 18 Bahnen gewonnen. Elisabeth Daffert gewann diese Herausforderung in der FPO-Division mit 2 Birdies im Tie-Break, wo die Schwierigkeit der gebirdieten Bahnen herangezogen wurde. Samuli Mykkänen gewann diese Challenge in der MP40-Division mit einer -1 auf 6 verschiedenen Bahnen.

45 Spieler nahmen an der Stableford Challenge teil, die Spieler auszeichnet, die am meisten über ihr persönliches PDGA-Rating spielten. Den ersten Platz in dieser Challenge sicherte sich Patryk Filipczak mit zwei Würfen vor Lukas Froschauer. Alexander Eder gewann einen Prodigy Disc Retriever, indem er als erster Spieler in Runde drei ins OB der Alpakaweide geworfen und seine Scheibe mit diesem Retriever erfolgreich wieder herausfischen konnte. Die drei Gewinner des CTP an Bahn 5 bekamen alle eine neue Prodigy Discgolftaschen.

Die Organisatoren der Veranstaltung möchten allen Gewinnern noch einmal gratulieren und sich bei allen Teilnehmern, Besuchern und Unterstützern der Veranstaltung bedanken. Das Alpaca Open 2023 war das erste AustroTour-Event des Jahres und für alle Beteiligten ein unvergessliches Turnier.

The Alpaca Open 2023 powered by Prodigy Disc disc golf tournament was a huge success, with 90 skilled players from 10 different countries participating in the event. The tournament was held in Austria, and the weather was very favorable for disc golf throughout the weekend. The Gold layout, which is the hardest parcours in Austria with a preliminary PAR-rating of 982, tested the skills of all the players.

The MPO division was won by Robin Binder, who finished the tournament with a total score of 11 under PAR. Stanislaus “the man” Amann, finished just one stroke behind Binder with a course record last round of -8 (1045 rated). Florian Lingenhel, finished in third place with a score of -7.

The FPO division was won by Eliška Bártková, who celebrated a start-goal-victory with a score of +34 after a 924 PDGA-rated first round. Laura Posch finished in second place, just four strokes behind Bártková, and Andreja Bernjak finished in third place with a score of 46 over PAR.

In the MP40 division, Stefan Sonnleitner won with a score of 2 over PAR after three very consistent rounds. Otfried Derschmidt finished in second place with a score of +10, and Roland Wieland finished in third place, just five strokes behind Derschmidt.

No ace was thrown during the tournament, and therefore, the pot for Alpaca Open 2024 has already grown to 282 EUR. Also, for the third year in a row, no eagle was scored, and the eagle hunt challenge remains to be won in the following year(s). The Birdie Challenge, sponsored by discgolf4you.com, for the most different holes birdied in all three rounds was won in the MPO division by Stanislaus Amann with 14 out of 18 holes. Elisabeth Daffert won this challenge in the FPO division with 2 birdies after a three-way-tie due to the more difficult holes birdied, and Samuli Mykkänen won this challenge in the MP40 division by getting a -1 on 6 different holes.

45 players participated in the Stableford Challenge, which awards players who play better than their personal PDGA rating. The first place in this challenge was won by Patryk Filipczak with two strokes over Lukas Froschauer. Alexander Eder won a Prodigy Disc Retriever by being the first player throwing OB into the Alpaca meadow on hole 1 and successfully retrieving their disc with this retriever. The three winners of the CTP on hole 5 all got a brand new Prodigy disc golf bag.
