Schöckl Open 2024 [PDGA C-tier]
This 2-day-tournament is part of the Austro-Tour and takes place on May 4/5, 2024.
The Discgolfclub Graz (DGCG) is looking forward to a great discgolf weekend.
Announcement, before going into details:
We are super happy to be able to offer you an additional disc golf day, mainly for players with no or a PDGA rating <850, who are not (likely) getting a spot in the main Austro-Tour event. The Schöckl Open 2024 Warmup (PDGA C-tier) takes place 3 days before on Wednesday May 1, 2024 (public holiday in Austria). However, all players are welcome – including players of the main tournament, who want to play two competitive rounds as warmup.
Registration for the Warmup tournament starts parallel to the AustroTour event.
Parcours
Alpine Terrain (1400m sea level) is waiting for you, according to this some meters of altitude are to overcome.
The course layout offers different shots to be mastered and asks for many aspects in our sport.
Solid footwear due to the inclines and weatherproof clothing are strongly recommended.

– Perfect/Good/Save weather forecast –> 1 round golf start planned, starting on hole #13 (near summit cross)
Starting time 1st flight: 9:30; All following flights in 12 minutes intervals; Final flight planned 13:06
– Uncertain weather forecast –> most likely 1 round cannon start, starting time planned at 10:00
Award ceremony shortly after the last group has finishes (at the hut next to the inn “Alpengasthof”)
The attempt to promote togetherness again 🙂
We would like to offer participants from different divisions more of a shared experience again. We plan to play mixed (2 rounds) on Saturday, the 1st round completely mixed, the 2nd round according to the scores.
On Sunday, the divisions are played separately.
Especially Masters players (MP40) should feel addressed, among other things, not to “escape” into the open division. And we believe that ladies and juniors will appreciate this just as much.

On Friday, the last cable car ride is at 17:00 !
On Saturday and Sunday, the last cable car ride is at 18:00 !
For players, ALL rides are sponsored by HOLDING Graz, valid from Friday to Sunday !
A list of names is available at the ticket office / downhill station. Simply announce your name, and you get your ticket.
Keep the ticket well, it is needed for the downhill ride and for the parking lot exit.

Alpengasthof (on the mountain; 11-bed group accomodation incl. bed linen); choose at registration (first come first serve; 2 nights will be preferred !)

Food
Various soups (5 Euro each, incl. bread) are offered at the inn “Alpengasthof”.
